Here’s a little truth most people don’t expect from a science teacher 👇I didn’t always love Biology.
In fact… I used to hate it.
Yes. Really.
The Turning Point
Biology felt like:
Too many notes
Too much memorising
Too little meaning
Until one day, it happened.
I realised science isn’t about cramming facts. It’s about understanding life; how things work, connect, fail, adapt, and grow.
Once I saw that, everything made sense!
Why I Teach Science the Way I Do
That experience shaped how I teach today.
I don’t believe students struggle because they’re “not science people.” They struggle because science is often taught without context, curiosity, or care.
So in my lessons, I focus on:
Understanding before memorising
Asking “why?” instead of rushing answers
Making concepts visual, relatable, and real
Building confidence, not fear
What Parents Should Know
If your child:
Says “I hate science”
Memorises but doesn’t understand
Panics during tests
Thinks they’re “just bad” at it
That doesn’t mean they can’t succeed.
It usually means they haven’t had the right support yet.
I teach science because I know what it feels like to sit on the other side…confused, frustrated, and disconnected.
And I also know how powerful it is when a child finally says: “Oh… I get it now!”
That moment never gets old.
If this sounds like the kind of learning experience you want for your child, you’re in the right place!
Schedule an online lesson with me here and I can help your child discover the beauty and wonder of science.
