Reading Support
Orton-Gillingham is the gold standard for teaching literacy to students with dyslexia or related language-based learning differences. Supported by decades of research, Orton Gillingham is the conceptual foundation for reading programs such as Wilson, Barton, MultiLit and MiniLit, and Lindamood-Bell. Unlike scripted reading programs, though, OG is a general literacy approach that can be adapted to the needs of each student and incorporates evidence-based research from the science of reading to expand beyond simple phonics instruction. Experienced reading tutors engage the full range of structured reading instruction, including decoding, sight word recognition, spelling, comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, spelling, and writing in 1:1 literacy lessons that are multisensory and focused on individualized goals.

Sometimes, students just need a little bit of encouragement and structure to get more interested in reading. In an effort to make reading support affordable and accessible to more students around the world, we also offer an online Book Buddy program for connecting young readers with responsible teens, college students, and experienced teachers around the world to simply read books together online. Our Book Buddies are fully trained and mentored to ensure quality, focused reading support that fosters a love for reading.

Hi, I'm Ms. Sunitha
I have a MSc in Psychology and have been trained at the Associate Level with the Orton Gillingham Academy. For the past few years, I have been remediating children with Dyslexia along with co morbidities such as Autism, ADHD, Down's syndrome, and other learning differences. I work mostly with children at the elementary school level to improve phonemic awareness, reading, spelling and handwriting skills.

I believe the systematic, explicit, individualized learning of the Orton Gillingham approach helps children learn and remediate more effectively.

I'm originally from India but have lived in Jakarta, Indonesia for many years with my husband and a 12 year old daughter. Every summer, we love traveling to remote islands for snorkeling, trekking, and also watching our daughter do open water scuba diving.

Whether your child has a diagnosis of a learning disability such as dyslexia or simply needs support in strengthening foundational reading, writing, or spelling skills, I am here to help.
