With three decades of experience as an Reading Specialist, Consultant, and Special Educator in Montgomery County, Maryland, Kristen is now focusing her expertise on what she loves most—providing highly individualized, targeted instruction that helps each student thrive. Kristen is an Orton-Gillingham certified reading instructor with a Masters of Science in Reading, Bachelor of Science in Special Education, and additional training in the Science of Reading and IMSE Morphology. She holds the deep belief that developing proficient readers fosters overall self-confidence and she strives to make each session fun for young readers. Driven by a love of travel and a commitment to ensuring that all children have access to exceptional reading and writing instruction, she embraces virtual teaching as a way to reach and support learners wherever they are. Her lessons are designed to be engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable, fostering both academic growth and a love of learning.
