Ms. Alya a Math and Science educator with four years of teaching experience across K–12 Mathematics, A-Levels (Cambridge & Pearson Edexcel), IB, and CSCA Math preparation. She also has a strong background in mathematics competitions such as HKIMO, AIMO, TIMO, and APSMO, which have greatly shaped her logical thinking and problem-solving approach in teaching. Ms. Alya is a Civil Engineering graduate, which is why she is especially passionate about Mathematics and Physics. Her academic background helps her connect theory with real-world applications, making abstract concepts easier to understand and more meaningful for students. Her teaching experience covers a wide range of learners, from young students to high school level, across different curricula. She is trained in structured, logic-based approaches such as Japanese and Singapore Math methods, with a strong focus on number sense, reasoning, and conceptual understanding. Over the years, she has supported students in both Mathematics and Physics through personalized learning plans that improve their confidence, clarity, and academic performance. She genuinely enjoys solving challenging problems and finding simple, intuitive ways to explain complex ideas. Her teaching philosophy is to build strong conceptual foundations first, then guide students to apply them confidently in exams and real-world problem solving.
